I received both my bachelor's degree and master's degree in Communication Disorders and Sciences at SUNY Fredonia in New York in 2012 & 2014.

Since moving to California from New York in 2014, I have had the opportunity to grow my skill set across various settings, working in three different school districts (preschool-aged to high school), providing in-home services, as well as providing early intervention services within a private clinic. Through these work opportunities, I have had the pleasure of gaining thorough experience in a variety of childhood speech and language disorders, which include:

Early Language Delays (“Late Talkers”)

Receptive/Expressive Language Disorders

Autism Spectrum Disorders

Social Pragmatic Skills

Articulation/Phonological Disorders

Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)

Fluency Disorders/Stuttering

Using evidence-based therapeutic strategies, I help children to effectively communicate. I am passionate about parent-caregiver coaching, and it is important to me that you feel confident in implementing the necessary strategies and skills learned to ensure continued success outside of your child’s speech-language therapy sessions.

Services

What does a typical speech-language evaluation consist of?

A typical speech-language evaluation may include the following:

  • Case History (e.g., obtaining background information, such as reason for referral, previous or current services, social history, medical history, developmental history, educational history, and behavioral concerns- if any)

  • Parent/Caregiver Questionnaires

  • Review of Speech and Language Milestones

  • Clinical Observations

  • Formal Standardized Testing

  • Language Sampling

When will I know the results to my child's speech-language evaluation?

A detailed, written report of your child's evaluation results will be provided to you within 2 weeks. Per results, a plan of care is developed for future visits if additional treatment is recommended. I will answer any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child's evaluation and/or developed plan of care during your first treatment visit.

Therapy/Treatment

Therapy sessions are individualized; duration and frequency are determined case-by-case. Sessions are most often offered with a 30- or 45-minute option, one or two times per week. At the end of your child’s speech therapy session, we will dedicate time to discuss areas of focus and review ways in which you can implement strategies used at home to promote carryover of skills.

Speech-Language Evaluation

A speech-language evaluation will be conducted in the reported areas of concern to determine diagnosis and need, type, and frequency of therapy, if warranted.

Am I allowed to join my child's session?

Let's Work Together

YES! Family members are welcomed and encouraged to join therapy sessions!

I value the importance of each therapy session, and I want to ensure parents and caregivers feel confident when utilizing recommended strategies.

Location

In-Home | Community-Based | Teletherapy

Services are provided in the comfort of your own home, within community-based settings (e.g., preschools, daycares, parks), and/or on a HIPAA Compliant Telehealth Platform

What are the benefits of in-home services?

Working with your child within their naturalistic environment can help to promote optimal carryover. This can create more opportunities for you as a parent, caregiver or sibling to be more involved in the therapeutic process, and it can eliminate an adjustment period for your child because they are already comfortable within their own home.

Bringing the therapist into your world and using your resources will not leave you feeling like you do not have the right tools to continue what is being worked on at the conclusion of your child’s speech therapy session.
